Set in the year 2400 in Taipei city, people have become disconnected from each other and are instead forming connections in a virtual reality world called the Orb that resembles the nostalgic early 2000s Taiwan. The main character, Chu, is invited by their friend Bunny to explore the deep web. However, while they are there, Bunny tries to convince Chu to stay in the Orb forever. When Chu refuses, Bunny uses bugs to track and trap Chu in the Orb on the internet. This plot highlights the possibility of people building connections in a world where the future does not naturally form relationships with each other.

I also try out different character designs for my animation. In the end I chose an angular shape language than the rounder shapes in my early approach.
